'DERESTRICTION' New 8 Track Promo Available Now!

Rising through the ashes of their previous band Headwound, which
Newman666 (vocals & guitar) established in 1994, after recruiting
Chezscar (bass) and Matt Mayhem (drums) a natural transition started to
take place, allowing the band to have a more organic element to their
previous hardcore industrial style, and brought about the birth of 1000
SCARS in 2004.

It was with this spectrum of influences from all three members that
gave them a completely unique sound which set them apart from the
majority of the bands working the underground extreme music scene, it
wasn't long before they had a demanding gig schedule alongside a
dedicated strong following worldwide.

The stage was set for their much awaited debut album New Rebellion,
which was released worldwide through Liability Records in June 2007,
with the first 1000 limited edition white discs being signed and
numbered it was no surprise that HMV were selling out fast.

In August 2007 after achieving success supporting NAPALM DEATH, Matt
Mayhem decided to leave the band to concentrate on other commitments
which in turn lead to new drummer Sean Fury joining 1000 SCARS just in
time for their support with EVILE.

Since the release of New Rebellion the band have received
correspondence from Al Jourgensen (Ministry / Thirteenth Planet
Records) and Jello Biafra (Dead Kennedys / Alternative Tentacles) both
expressing a personal interest in future 1000 SCARS recordings.

Through the success of New Rebellion 1000 SCARS released the video to
the album title track and are also in the process of producing a DVD of
live and exclusive behind the scenes footage to please their hardcore
following.

The early months of 2008 also seen the addition of second guitarist
Leigh Torture being brought in to help achieve a more diverse
sound, which will be utilised to its full potential on the forthcoming
album 'De-Restriction' due for release in 2009.

NEWMAN666 has also just signed a 3 year deal with Washburn guitars USA and has taken delivery of his own custom V: the NEWMAN666 Signature.

The early part of 2009 brought a new drummer in the form of Matt. After touring with the band the previous year and helping out in the battle for bloodstock, Matt became a permanent member.

After being featured on Metal Hammer and Terrorizer cd's the band are now entering the studio again to put the finishing touches to 'De-Restriction' due out later this year.

With the departure of Leigh Torture, the band are carrying on as a 3 peice with a rawer, harder sound.
